Project Description

Located on Lots 41 and 42 of Rua Capitão Salgueiro Maia, in Valbom – Núcleo E, municipality of Alcochete, the two buildings comprise 10 T2 units, 4 T1 units and a services space, as part of a project promoted by the Alcochete Municipal Council under its Cost-Controlled Housing program, aimed at meeting the municipality's housing needs.

Conditioned by the rigidity of the Municipal Allotment Plan, which defines alignments and volumes, and by the outdated character of the pre-existing structures, the buildings are integrated into their built surroundings, merging into a single, homogeneous Block — where façade and roof dissolve into one continuous surface — resulting in a contemporary and distinctive image intended to serve as a reference within the municipality.

Harmonized by materiality, color, and texture, all planes — whether vertical, horizontal, or sloped — construct a light gray volume, punctuated by identical openings of uniform proportion.
